Is That Healthy?

Jenny is probably the most health conscience 5 year old on the planet. She has half of the candy as her brother and sister have because she decided that she "had enough".(Sam did the circuit 3 times before I caught up to her ... she is a master beggar. I almost wonder if people think I don't feed her because everyone gives her food.)

And when we had the pumpkins seeds last Sunday, she asked, "are these healthy?" So we went to look it up for her. Those things are CRAZY nutritious. This is what we found.

She asks the "is this healthy?" question ALL THE TIME.

Oh, and the other day, we were all eating the wonderfully delicious old fashioned sugar cookies I made. She had one, and when I offered another she said, "No, thank you."

I wonder where she got this from. I do not push food choices ... I just give options. It is interesting to see what some kids think is most important. And it is comforting to know that there is at least one kid out there that knows when they have had enough.

I know that I was not that kid.

I'm STILL not that kid, especially when cookies are on the offer.

me neither .... I even tried to freeze half the cookie dough last week, and ended up eating the frozen dough balls. Horrible, eh? :)

My oldest is the same way. She prefers apples over apple pie and doesn't care much for cake or chocolate. I think she is an alien.

Huh, healthy is so relative....
I guess you'd have to have that talk with her. :)

Wow! This is kind of cute, and strange. I was NEVER that child either. And my little nephew most definatly is not that child. We constantly struggle with him because we can not make him stop! He eats more than the adults in the house, and even when he is done he wants more, so he eats twice as much. It got to a point where we threaten him by saying behave or no cookie...so now I honestly do not think THAT is healthy! But your child is a cute one :)
